SOCIAL RESEARCH

UNDERSTANDING WHAT SHAPES US.

Culture · Gender · Power · Motherhood · Family · Belonging

My work in Social Science explores the cultural and social structures that shape how we live, relate and understand ourselves often long before we become conscious of their influence.

BACKGROUND

FROM THE SOCIAL TO THE INTIMATE.

My academic background brings together Sociology, Social Work, Family Mediation and Social Policy, with postgraduate research spanning Anthropology and Sociology.

Across this work, I have explored gender, sexuality, family, relationships, power and the social structures through which identity, behaviour and belonging are shaped.

This research continues to ground my wider body of work: understanding how social structures become lived experience — and how lived experience can become a place of awareness, transformation and possibility.

RESEARCH AREAS

WHAT SHAPES A LIFE?

Gender · Sexuality · Family · Motherhood
Power · Relationships · Identity · Belonging

My research sits at the intersection of social structures and lived experience examining how culture, gender, family and power shape the ways we understand ourselves, relate to others and imagine what is possible.
