THE BOOK
El Mundo de las Posibilidades is a work of fiction shaped by years of research, practice and lived experience.
Drawing on my background in Social Science, my work across gender, family and relationships, and years of exploring the body, identity and human transformation, the novel brings these different lines of inquiry into a single narrative.
At its foundation is a simple understanding:
Who we become is never entirely individual.
We are shaped by culture and history.
By gender and power.
By family systems, relationships and motherhood.
By what the body learns, remembers and carries.
By the identities we inherit, inhabit and, at some point, begin to question.

The novel follows a woman moving through identity, loss, desire, motherhood and transformation confronting the life she has inherited while beginning to imagine the life she might consciously create.
Through her choices, contradictions and relationships, questions that might otherwise remain abstract become intimate, embodied and lived.
The social becomes intimate.
The personal becomes possibility.

It is about what can happen when a woman begins to recognise what has shaped her and realises that what she has inherited does not have to determine what comes next.
This is where possibility begins.

At forty-three, she thought part of her life was over.
The family she had imagined.
The future she had planned.
The woman she had spent years becoming.
What she could not yet see was that losing the life she had built would force her to confront a far more unsettling question:
